Many years ago Mr John was travelling the world as a sailorman. After retiring and collecting many experiences from all over the world, Mr John decided to bring something innovative to the island, something that could share his love with. And then the idea of creating a family hotel, has just developed! Back in the 1990 they built “Villa Giannakis”, one of the island’s first hotels, a place filled with pure love!

Twenty four years later, Christos- Sofia’s and John’s child- together with his wife Anastasia, took over the business together with their children. And then, “Aelia” was born! A cozy place where our guests are treated like our friends; friends who we would love to share a truly Greek experience with.
